About the Builder

Since 1969, Van Groce, founder of Groce Companies, has dedicated his career to building communities and homes that fit today's lifestyles. He began his career in building because he felt a responsibility to meet the needs of families who had not been able to participate in the "American Dream" of owning a home. His original goal was to provide a quality home that offers style, luxury, and security for a reasonable price.

And through the years, Van has never wavered in his resolution. The homes and communities he has built represent some of the most exceptional values in the market.

Van Groce has been a pacesetter in the area's real estate community. He helped to develop many of the leading residential communities including Carolina Seasons, Carolina Trace, Copper Ridge, Nottingham and Woodbridge. Also, as one of the charter members and former President of the Sanford Area Home Builder's Association, Van has played an influential role in shaping the future of the area's real estate market. He has served as a judge of the Parade of Homes of Wake County, Moore County, and Greensboro and is a past Director of the State Home Builder's Association. Van spearheaded the 2006 Habitat For Humanity Blitz Build in Sanford.
